ITI Draughtsman (Civil)
This trade involves preparing technical drawings and maps for buildings, bridges, and other civil structures. It is ideal for students with good visualization skills and an interest in construction and architecture.
The day usually starts in the drawing hall, where students work on manual drafting projects using T-squares and set squares. Later, they move to the computer lab to learn CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for creating digital blueprints. Theory sessions cover building materials, estimation, and surveying techniques. Some days involve outdoor sessions for site surveying and measurement using levels and chains. The day ends with a review of the design projects and corrections by the instructor.
